Course Description
In this course you’ll learn how to:
- Plan and prepare for loading and unloading tasks
- Conduct pre-operational checks on both machinery and trailers
- Load machinery safely onto float trailers
- Use loading aids and securing devices, including proper signage and barriers
- Unload machinery securely
- Perform post-operation maintenance and cleanup

RIIHAN308F – Load and Unload Plant
- Upon successful completion, participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment
Course Delivery
- Delivered through a single-day workshop combining classroom instruction and practical, hands-on simulation
- Delivered at CTA training facilities or onsite for group bookings
Pre-Requisites
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Participants must have previous training or certification demonstrating their ability to safely operate the specific plant being loaded or unloaded.
- CTA Create Train Achieve does not have CRICOS accreditation and is unable to train students on an ‘International Student’ VISA.

Completing this course may lead to further training such as:
- Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations
- Certificate III in Landscape Construction
- Certificate III in Rural Operations
Assessment Process
The Load and Unload Plant course incorporates a variety of assessment tasks throughout and may include:
- Practical demonstration of operating skills
- Written and/or oral questioning
