Course Description
This intensive program gives participants the opportunity to train across a range of high-demand civil construction machines. You’ll develop the skills to safely and efficiently operate four different machines, with a balance of classroom learning and hands-on training in a simulated worksite environment.
Units and Certification
On successful completion, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for the following nationally recognised units:
- RIIMPO320F – Conduct civil construction excavator operations
- RIIMPO318F – Conduct civil construction skid steer loader operations
- RIIMPO317F – Conduct roller operations
- RIIMPO321F – Conduct civil construction wheeled front end loader operations
Course Delivery
- Pre-course learner guide and workbook provided upon enrolment
- Combination of theory and practical sessions across 4 workshop days
- Delivered at CTA training facilities or onsite (for group bookings)
Pre-Requisites
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Applicants will be required to undertake pre-course reading and complete an activity book to ensure an understanding of the learning content that will be reviewed in the class contact time. These materials will be supplied to the students upon enrolment and payment of the course.
- CTA Create Train Achieve does not have CRICOS accreditation and is unable to train students on an ‘International Student’ VISA.

Assessment Process
Assessment includes:
- Practical demonstration of operating each machine safely and effectively.
- Written/oral knowledge checks to confirm understanding of safety, compliance, and operational procedures.
- Participants must be deemed competent in both theory and practical components to be awarded the units.
