$800.00 (2 days – designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to safely conduct roller operations, regardless of prior experience.)
Course Description
This course covers the key competencies required to operate a roller in civil construction, including:
- Planning and preparing for roller operations
- Performing machine pre-operational checks
- Operating the roller to achieve compaction to correct patterns and density
- Sealing, finishing and material compaction techniques
- Relocating the machine safely
- Executing routine maintenance and site clean-up
Units and Certification
RIIMPO317F – Conduct Roller Operations
- On successful completion, participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and a competency card
Course Delivery
- Pre-course learner guide and workbook provided upon enrolment
- Combination of theory and practical sessions across 2 workshop days
- Delivered at CTA training facilities or onsite (for group bookings)
Pre-Requisites
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
- Applicants will be required to undertake pre-course reading and an activity book to ensure an understanding of the learning content that will be reviewed in the class contact time. These materials will be supplied to the students upon enrolment and payment of the course.
- CTA Create Train Achieve does not have CRICOS accreditation and is unable to train students on an ‘International Student’ VISA.

Graduates may continue their training with further qualifications such as:

The Roller course incorporates a variety of assessment tasks throughout and may include:
