Course Description
NT Transition training for current individuals holding existing qualification Level 3 – Work Zone Traffic Supervisor (WZ3) needing to transition to new NTFTTM Qualifications Traffic Management Implementer 1 (TMI1) and Traffic Management Implementer 2 (TMI2)
- RIISS00060 – Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads
- RIISS00061 – Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for High Volume Roads Individuals wanting to continue to work on Category 2 roads during the transition period for both the Traffic Controller and Traffic Implementer must be registered for both courses
Units and Certification
Upon successful completion of all associated Units of Competency, participants will receive Statements of Attainment for:
RIISS00060 Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads. and:
RIISS00061 Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for High Volume Roads.

Course Delivery
- 3 Days Face to Face Training inclusive of one day simulated practical assessment
- Theory Assessment

Pre-Requisites
- Must hold a white card / unit CPCWHS1001 (Red Card will not be accepted)
- Must have a valid Australian drivers license.
- Must hold current WZ tickets, expired tickets will not be accepted.
- Be able to demonstrate industry experience of at least one month’s experience applying skills and knowledge in a category 1 environment, and providing evidence of setting up at least 12 temporary traffic management types.
- Must complete the practical assessment for TMI2 (to be conducted by an approved training provider) within one month of successfully completing the theory component.
Education Pathways
The unit provides credit towards several Certificate II and Certificate III qualifications in the RII Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package and other training packages, such as RII30920 Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent.
